I don't like to propose "in the rush" tours. I guess that being on a cruise ship and having a restricted time frame is better to spend relaxing time visiting no more than three places instead than "be in the hurry" trying to see all and don't remembering anything later.

SHORE EXCURSION FROM NAPLES - Tour #1 option A
Pompeii - Sorrento - Positano (Amalfi Coast)
I would propose a full day tour, on my opinion a balanced compendium of history, art, natural beauty, food & wine and (why not!) shopping, it will have the following itinerary: it usual start at 8.00am from Naples dock, the first stop is in Pompeii where is expected to have two hours of walking tour, enough to visit all the highlights. Regarding Pompeii, due the dimension of the archaeological site, is suggested to hire a tour guide for a satisfactory visit, you can do it just asking at entrance excavation, the cost is 100 Euro/2 hours.
Leaving Pompeii, the itinerary will take a panoramic road by the water with beautiful spots on the Bay of Naples and Sorrento. From the road you will see the magnificent volcanic rock terrace where over is built Sorrento, there you will have time to explore around by the small streets of the Old Town where is possible to have good deal about any kind of shopping including a free taste of the famous "limoncello" liquor.
Leaving Sorrento in few minutes you will be on the breathtaking Amalfi Drive, considered one of the most beautiful road in the world. Here you will have time to take amazing pictures and to see some picturesque spot. The next stop will be in Positano, here you will have time to stroll by the town, for little shopping and lunch in a typical "mama cooking" restaurant. Along the way I will be able to talk about arts, history and traditions of my homeland, giving suggestions and tips regarding monuments, shop, food & wine or anything you could need or ask. Is expected to be at ship no more than one hour before it leaves.
The tour #1 option A can be made with return to your ship by ferry from Sorrento so you can even enjoy the ride across the Naples's Bay and appreciate the view of all the coast line. The ferry stop at walking distance from your ship's dock (300 meters).

The only difference with the tour above is about to tour Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast with stops in Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and skipping Sorrento.

I know some peoples are bothered by archaeological sites, even because Mediterranean area is filled of them and a cruise ship stops in many, so this itinerary is all about natural beauty, amazing landscapes and breathtaking views!
It will be all by the coast from Naples to Sorrento and later taking the Amalfi Drive, following most of the Amalfi Coast and visiting beautiful towns as such as Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello.
In each you will have again time to explore the town, for little shopping and lunch in a typical "mama cooking" restaurant. Pompeii - Herculaneum - Naples's Archaeological Museum
This is a tour for history and archaeology fanatics! It will take you to discovery the daily life, the habits, the arts of the Ancient Romans dated back to 2000 years!
It start at 8.00am from Naples port and expect two hours stop in Pompeii, two hours stop in Herculaneum and two hours stop at Naples Archaeological Museum. It will be at your choice which visit first, my personal suggest is to visit the two sites first and to end at the Museum where are kept and displayed all the objects, statues and mosaics found during the excavations.
Of course is included lunch time and is expected to be at ship no more than one hour before it leaves.
To have a satisfactory tour is strongly suggest to hire a tour guide for all the day.

This is tour is a mix of history, archaeology and some adventure thrill climbing a volcano!
It starts at 8.00am from Naples port and the first stop is in Pompeii with two hours of tour. After Pompeii we will start to climb by a regular road up to Mount Vesuvius till 3 miles away from the top. From this point start the path way to climb till the top. On the way back we will take the old road till Herculaneum, here you will have again two stop hours.
Of course is included a lunch time and is expected to be back to the ship no more than one hour before it leaves.

Capri - Positano - Pompeii
This tour is really unusual and I planned this itinerary because of the many requests I got from customers asking to visit Capri island.
It start from Naples dock taking the hydrofoil from Beverello harbour (it is at walking distance from the ship's dock). You'll be welcomed by a escort guide, he'll take you to the hydrofoil ticket office and accompany your party to Capri helping to respect the scheduled time and giving you info regarding the isle. It will take about 40 minutes to get in Capri, here you will have a couple of hours to stroll around. Then you will take the hydrofoil to Sorrento where I'll pick you up with destination Positano/Amalfi Coast. Here you'll have time again to stroll around for a little and to have lunch in a typical "mama cooking" restaurant. On the way back to Naples we will stop in Pompeii for a two hours tour. Is expected to be back to the ship no more than one hour before it leaves.
It is very important on this tour to get the scheduled hydrofoils due to respect the strictly timing.

Paestum - Ravello - Amalfi
This tour, really unusual, is planned to visit the Greek Archaeological site of Paestum.
It has 3 big temples, the biggest similar to the Parthenon in Athen and, by the expert's opinion, better preserved. This site is from the 600 B.C. and visiting it you'll have the feeling of the Old Greece.
On the way back is planned to stop and visit Ravello and Amalfi both on the Amalfi Coast, this make the tour a special combination of ancient arts, history and amazing natural beauty.
It is possible to combine a visit to a biologycal "buffalo mozzarella" factory with possibilty to purchase the fresh mozzarella, gelato and yogurt all made with "buffalo" milk.
Is expected to be back to the ship no more than one hour before it leaves.
